CHARLESTON – The final jump of Cami Robinson’s high school career was a memorable one, and one that placed her in the Waubonsie Valley record books for the second straight year. Robinson finished 6th in the triple jump at the IHSA Finals on Saturday at Eastern Illinois University.

In preliminaries, Robinson broke a school record, her own, jumping 38′ 0.75″. The senior then eclipsed that performance in the Finals with a jump of 38′ 1.5″.  Robinson held the school record from a jump of 38′ back in 2017.

Earlier in the week, Robinson qualified for State with a jump of 37′ 5.5″ at the Plainfield North Sectional.

Robinson was the third Warrior to place at the outdoor IHSA State Finals. Da’Sha Patton did it in 2010 and Joslyn Drew did it in 2007 and 2008. Robinson also holds the 7th best long jump in Waubonsie Valley history (16′ 9.5″ in 2017).
