Waubonsie Valley Theatre has announced its spring musical, The Wedding Singer. The Wedding Singer, set in 1985, tells the tale of Robbie Hart, the lead singer in a New Jersey based wedding band, who believes that love is his specialty. However, after getting dumped by his fiance at the altar, Robbie loses his faith in love and marriage. Thanks to the help of his bandmates, George and Sam, as well as a new acquaintance, Julia, Robbie goes on a journey to find out how real love can be.
The musical comedy is based on the 1998 Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore movie of the same name. Student auditions are Tuesday, February 19 and Wednesday, February 20. For more information, visit wvhs.ipsd.org.
