YORKVILLE – Waubonsie Valley girls golf finished third in the IHSA Regionals on Thursday at Whitetail Ridge Golf Course in Yorkville. The team shot 331, finishing eight strokes behind champion Oswego East and five strokes behind second-place Neuqua Valley.
Senior Kelly Cong finished second with a 3-over-74. Sophomore Hannah Lee placed 10th with a 14-over-85. Senior Meadow Rolence, freshman Mina Shyam and senior Aubreye Hyatt also place in the top 20.
The Warriors will compete in the IHSA Sectional on Monday, October 2 at Whisper Creek Golf Course in Huntley.
