DEKALB – Sam Wiertelak pitched a complete game, as the Warriors shutout DeKalb, 11-0.
Wiertelak allowed no runs on two hits, while striking out five.
Offensively, Waubonsie scored 11 runs on eight hits. Hannah Laub led the way, going 3-for-5 with four RBI and a home run. Gia Cobert went 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs. Wiertelak and A Kahl each added a hit.
The Warriors improved to 5-8 on the year and travel to Benet on Friday to take on the Redwings for a 4:30 p.m. first pitch.
