AURORA – The Warriors scored in almost every inning as they defeated Glenbard North, 14-12, in an offensive battle at WV Softball Field on Wednesday afternoon.
Waubonsie led 12-5 at one point, but Glenbard North came back with seven unanswered runs. The Warriors scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to take the lead for good.
Hannah Laub led the way with a 3-for-5 day, including a double and a home run. Gia Cobert went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Aislee Morgan and Avery Kahl each went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Lily Elsea, Lyric Taylor and Maya Pereda each added a hit for Waubonsie.
The Warriors travel to DeKalb on Thursday to take on the Barbs for a 4:30 p.m. first pitch.
