AURORA – Waubonsie snapped a two-game winning streak and beat DuPage Valley Conference rival Neuqua Valley, 4-0.
After a scoreless first half, Cecilia Galarza opened the scoring early in the second half with her 8th goal of the year. Galarza drove a shot from the right side with her left foot into the far left in the goal.
Eleanor Oster followed with her 3rd goal of the year, driving a shot near left post.
Thanya Castelan was credited with her 4th goal of the year when she kicked a shot that deflected off a Neuqua defender that went into the goal.
Four minutes later, Katerina Chapman lofted a long shot into the far left of the goal for her third of the year.
Goalie Lauren Bornhoff posted her 6th shutout of the season, as the Warriors improved to 10-4-2. Waubonsie will host Metea Valley on Friday night for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.
