AURORA – Waubonsie Valley girls soccer will begin IHSA Tournament play tonight at a number six seed. The Warriors will take on 11th-seeded Plainfield East at East Aurora High School on Tuesday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Waubonsie is led in scoring by Taylor Ahmadian with 11. She also has six assists on the season. Katie Chapman leads the team with eight assists, and Ceci Galarza has eight goals and seven assists.
Goalie Lauren Bornhoff has collected six shutouts on the season.
The Warriors are trying to snap a three-game losing streak against a tough stretch of opponents in Metea Valley, Naperville North and Benet Academy. If the Waubonsie advances on Tuesday night, a rematch with Naperville North awaits on Friday afternoon.
