AURORA – Hannah Laub hit two doubles, but it wasn’t enough as Metea Valley defeated Waubonsie Valley, 8-2, in the DuPage Valley Conference Tournament semifinal on Tuesday afternoon.
Laub went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Gia Cobert, Sam Wiertelak and Lauren Dexter-Thornton each added a hit.
The Warriors open the IHSA Tournament on May 23 as a #7 seed against 10th-seeded Yorkville at Oswego High School.
