Things did not look good for Waubonsie in the third quarter, down 30-20. That’s when Eric Cannon sparked a comeback and a 13-2 run to take the lead for good. A pair of Marcus Skeete free throws and a field goal capped off the run, and Cannon hit two three-pointers in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

The Warriors and Caymen Woods held Metea star Ethan Helwig to 15 points, after his 36-point performance at Oswego East on Tuesday night.

Cannon finished with 21 points and Skeete ended with 12 points. Waubonsie improved to 14-2 overall and 3-1 in the DuPage Valley Conference. The Warriors host East Moline on Saturday for a 7:00 tip-off at Waubonsie Valley’s Main Gym.
