NAPERVILLE – Waubonsie Valley’s speech team placed fifth at IHSA Regionals on Saturday at Neuqua Valley High School. Six students in six categories will advance to sectionals.
Mufida Rahman and Sree Peddamaru placed 4th in Dramatic Duet Acting. Karshin Nair placed 3rd in Extemporaneous Speaking and 4th in Impromptu Speaking. Pradyumnah Gururaj placed 4th in Humorous Interpretation, Mufida Rahman placed 3rd in Prose Speaking, Maanya Srivastava placed 4th in Radio Speaking.
Other students were finalists including Sree Peddamaru in Dramatic Interpretation, Hana Rahman and Prathyusha Ravindran in Humorous Duet Acting, Nikhith Moningi in Informative Speaking, Aleena Khan in Oratorical Declamation, Mira Zatzenbloom in Original Comedy, Khanak Parikh in Original Oratory and Sparsh Gautam in Special Occasion Speaking.
