AURORA – Waubonsie Valley boys basketball’s historic 23-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday as Bolingbrook defeated the Warriors, 71-56, in front of a capacity crowd at the school’s main gym.
The Warriors led by one after the first quarter, but Bolingbrook took the lead midway through the second quarter and never looked back. The Raiders outscored Waubonsie in the second half, 33-22.
Junior Tyreek Coleman finished with 31 points for Waubonsie.
The Warriors fall to 23-1 on the year and will travel to Neuqua Valley on Friday to take on the Wildcats for a 7:00 p.m. tipoff.
