AURORA – Waubonsie Valley students can prepare for the 2024-2025 school year with School Readiness Days on August 13 and 14.
School Readiness Days are an opportunity for students to get their Chromebook, get their picture taken, get an activity pass and student handbook, see their locker and walk the building. Several parent organizations and staff will also be on site to answer questions and help get students familiar with their first day of school.
On Tuesday, August 13, students in the Pride House (last names beginning with A through E) can visit from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Students in the Tradition House (last names beginning with F through L) can visit from noon until 2:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, August 14, students in the Spirit House (last names beginning with M through ROD) can visit from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Students in the Warrior House (last names beginning with ROE through Z) can visit from noon until 2:30 p.m.
In addition to Readiness Days, the Class of 2028 can visit Freshmen Orientation on Tuesday, August 13 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Waubonsie Valley High School. Parents of the Class of 2028 can attend a parent meeting and Welcome Night at 7:00 p.m.
Waubonsie Valley will be open on Thursday, August 15 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. for a building walkabout.
