CHARLESTON, IL – Four Waubonsie Valley student athletes placed at the IHSA State Track and Field Finals at Eastern Illinois University on Friday and Saturday,
Senior Brody Squires finished in 8th place at the IHSA State Track and Field Finals at Eastern Illinois University on Friday and Saturday. Squires jumped 6.64 meters. It was the second time in two years that Squires places in the top 20. It’s only the second time that a Warrior has placed in the top ten in the outdoor long jump finals. Ricky Walls placed 7th in 2010.
Junior Austin McInturff finished 28th & senior Gavin Ebenezer finished 30th in the 800m. Junior Zach Self finished 28th in the 1600m.
