NAPERVILLE – With no IHSA state finals to work towards, Saturday’s DuPage Valley Conference meet on Saturday at Neuqua Valley High School would be the final competition of the season for Waubonsie Valley’s boys swim team. The Warriors treated it like state finals, finishing first in the six-team meet.
Lucas Conrads set a pool and meet record by winning the 500-meter freestyle. He also set a meet record in the 200-meter freestyle.
Brian Knothe set a meet record by winning the 100-meter breaststroke. He also finished second in the 200-meter individual medley.
Arnav Deshpande finished second in the 100-meter backstroke. He also won the 100-meter butterfly, while setting a meet record.
Elmer Weng finished second in the 100-meter breaststroke. He also finished fourth in the 200-meter individual medley.
Ethan Huynh finished third in the 100-meter breaststroke.
Keian Lam finished fourth in the 500-meter freestlye.
In relay competition, the Warriors took second in both the 400-meter freestyle relay and the 200-meter medley relay.
