It’s certainly been one of the more historic regular seasons in Waubonsie Valley Boys Basketball history. On Thursday, the team added another badge to its sash, as the Warriors were selected as the number two seed in the East Aurora IHSA Sectional.
As a result, Waubonsie also earns a first-round bye and will face either #15 Lincoln-Way or #18 Yorkville on Tuesday, February 26. If they win, they would advance to the Regional Championship on Friday, March 1.
Bolingbrook is the top seed, followed by the Warriors. Oswego East is #3, West Aurora is #4, and Oswego is #5.
Regional contests are at Andrew High School in Tinley Park, and sectional games will be at East Aurora High School.
