AURORA – Waubonsie Valley scholastic bowl won its IHSA Sectional on Saturday after sweeping all three of its opponents on Saturday.
The Warriors defeated Glenbard South 550-290. In its second match, they defeated Wheaton Academy 650-140. Finally, they defeated second-place Illinois Math and Science Academy 510-310.
Sectional competitors included Daniel Dimov, Alex Engel, Soham Manna, Vikram Narasimhan,Aditya Patel, Salil Patki, Aveek Sarkar, Kaushik Saravanan, Pranav Satapathy, Mithil Shah, Akshath Sivachidhambaram and Mira Zatzenbloom.
IHSA State Finals are Saturday at Heartland Community College in Normal. Waubonsie Valley will face Rockford Auburn, Springfield and Sandburg to start the finals.
