Baseball Routs Metea in Six Innings

AURORA – Waubonsie Valley needed only six innings to defeat Metea Valley 16-6 on Tuesday afternoon at WV Baseball Field.

The Warriors scored four runs in the 2nd and 3rd inning, two runs in the 4th inning, and three runs in the 5th and 6th inning.

Hiroshy Wong went 2-for-4 with a double and 4 RBI. Josh Hung and Cole Ruggeri each went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI. Ryan Lucas went 2-for-4 with 1 RBI. Owen Roberts, Aidan Kornak and Chris Leigh each added a hit.

Nick Lambert pitched six innings for the win, striking out seven.

It was the second straight win for the Warriors, who have now won four of their last five games. They close out the series at Metea Valley on Thursday for a 4:30 p.m. start.
