AURORA – Senior Hannah Laub is making the most of her senior year. Her double and home run helped the Warriors beat Metea Valley 9-3 in the DVC Cares event at Aurora University on Thursday night.
Laub went 2-for-4 with 4 RBI. In the second inning, Laub doubled to left to score a run. In the sixth inning, Laub hit a two-run homer to centerfield.
Every Warrior got into the hit column. Gia Cobert, Aislee Morgan and Alyssa Tukker each had two hits. Sam Wiertelak, Dezirae Kelly, Avery Kahl, Lily Elsea and Lauren Dexter-Thornton added a hit apiece.
Wiertelak pitched seven innings, allowing three earned runs, while striking out three.
The Warriors improved to 12-13 on the season and host Plainfield Central on Saturday for a 10:00 a.m. first pitch.
