AURORA – Waubonsie Valley football is back on the web for the 2022 season, and WVTV will be there to provide live video broadcast streams for a 10th straight season. Four home games will be broadcast from Dick Kerner Stadium in Aurora, as the Warriors face a competitive DuPage Valley Conference lineup against DeKalb and Naperville North and non-conference games against St. Charles East and O’Fallon.

Seniors Charlie DiVincenzo and Connor Allyn will provide the play-by-play and color commentary. Broadcasts are produced by a student crew on a volunteer basis.

“The fact that it’s been ten years, and that it’s flown by, just shows how much fun we’re having doing all of this,” said media production teacher Brian Wiencek. “It’s a great learning opportunity for students, and it allows them to provide a valuable community service to an authentic worldwide audience on YouTube.”

Since 2012, WVTV has produced live video stream productions of Waubonsie Valley athletics, music, theater and other school events. Last school year, WVTV streamed over 20 live events, including football, basketball, soccer, water polo, lacrosse and hockey.

All games and events are streamed live and available on demand on WVTV’s YouTube channel at wvtvmedia.org. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for all broadcasts. For more information, e-mail wvtv@ipsd.org or call 630-375-3248.
