AURORA – Waubonsie Valley High School is presenting its 3rd annual Writers Week February 18-21. Hosted by the school’s Library Media Center and English Department, Writers Week is a variety of guest speakers, school speakers, and student speakers.
Invited guest speakers include Mary VanMilligen, Michael Rossi, Eric Bodwell, Jason Akst, Deborah DeRosa, Renee Hogan, William Collier, Andrea Guzman, Shifa Saltagi Safadi, Amanda Joy and Steve Etheridge. Waubonsie Valley speakers include science teacher Carl Armstrong, LMC Director Robyn Whitlock and guidance counselor Matt Walker.
Student speakers include Calvin Bonansinga, Eshanvi Sharma, Ana Sofia Martinez, Cleo Ribeiro, Kamryn Triplett, Madeline Marsh, Addison Bielecki and Aiden Walts.
A variety of administration, faculty and staff will also present African American read-ins throughout the week.
