AURORA – Waubonsie Valley Theatre has selected its play for the winter season, And They Dance Real Slow in Jackson.
The play is about a young lady crippled at birth with polio. Because she is confined to a wheelchair and must wear leg braces, she deals with the challenges of making friends and dealing with small-town prejudices. The play is billed as “a moving and poetically evocative plea for understanding and compassion in a world where prejudice and casual cruelty are too often the norm.”
And They Dance Real Slow in Jackson runs February 10 through 12 at 7:00 p.m. in the WV Auditorium.
