Superintendent Announces Retirement After 2019-2020 School Year

AURORA – Indian Prairie School District 204 Superintendent Dr. Karen Sullivan announced her retirement at a board meeting on Monday night. According to Sullivan, she will retire at the end of her contract in June 2020.

Sullivan was hired on as superintendent in 2014. According to ipsd.org, she spent 23 years with the district, beginning as a principal at Cowlishaw Elementary School.

In her letter, Sullivan states “I am proud of the work that we have accomplished together over the past five years…I will leave this district with an abundance of memories of the amazing things our students have achieved and the tremendous support shown from our parents and community.
