PLAINFIELD – Waubonsie Valley boys golf opened the 2020 season with a sixth-place finish at the Bob Sterr Invitational on Monday.
Overall, the Warriors shot a 314 in a tournament that included Naperville Central, Neuqua Valley, Naperville North, Metea Valley and Benet Academy.
Salil Khanduja led the Warriors with a 2-over-74. Keaton Esch (6-over-78) and Nolan Schweiger (7-over-79) followed up. Neil Gupta also finished up with a 10-over-82.
The Warriors quickly turn around and play in the McGongale City Invite on Tuesday morning.
