AURORA – Indian Prairie School District 204 announced school closings for Wednesday, January 30 and Thursday, January 31, due to extreme weather conditions.
In a release today, the district said of both Wednesday and Thursday that “All schools will be closed. This includes students who receive transportation for out of district programs. All after-school and evening activities are canceled. This includes building rental programs. The district’s administrative office will be closed.”
The move comes following school closings on Monday, after several inches of snow fell overnight. Weather.com is forecasting a high of -16 degrees and a low of -27 degrees for Wednesday with wind chills possibly reaching around -50 to -55 degrees. Thursday’s forecast calls for more of the same.
