BENSENVILLE – A trip to Chicago’s United Center is in the future for Warrior Hockey, courtesy of a 4-1 win over Leyden on Tuesday night at the Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville.

About ten minutes into the game, Will Troy and Jack Flood scored within seconds of each other, making it 2-0.

With 11:42 in the 2nd period, Andrew McCoy made it 3-0, on a pass from Zach Pearce. Later in the second, Flood tallied his second goal off a Troy rebound. Justin Howard picked up the win in goal for the Warriors.

The Warriors are familiar with the United Center, having lost to BGHW last year, and beating Glenbard to win the state title in 2014.

The state title game is Friday, March 22 at 9:15 p.m. General admission tickets are $5 and are available through Ticketmaster.
