Hockey Downs Rival Neuqua

AURORA – It was a packed house at All Seasons Ice Arena, as Warrior Hockey defeated rival Neuqua Valley 6-1 on Sunday night.

Will Troy scored first with a shot that bounced off of a Neuqua player in front of the net. The Wildcats came back to tie it at one apiece at the beginning of second period.

Then, the Warriors poured it on, scoring five straight goals.

Zach Pearce scored the first of his two goals on a penalty shot. Sean Smith backhanded the puck into the net to make it 3-1. Pearce, Tony Campise and Trent Kenyon added the final three goals for the win. Justin Howard picked up the win in goal.

The Warriors finished the regular season with a 16-4 record. They’re currently tied for second with 33 points and will compete next in the West Cup Playoffs.
