YORKVILLE – Waubonsie Valley girls golf opened their season Thursday by winning the Plainfield North Invite at Whitetail Ridge Golf Course.
The Warriors shot a 305 in the tournament, which included more than 20 teams and over 100 golfers.
Senior Kelly Cong led the Warriors with a 2-under-68. Cong birdied four holes, and finished third individually. Freshman Mina Shyam finished 6th with a 1-over-71. She birdied three holes. Sophomore Hannah Lee and Freshman Siya Sohal both finished in the Top 20.
