DECATUR – Waubonsie Valley girls golf finished 7th at the IHSA State Finals this weekend at Hickory Point Golf Course in Decatur.
Senior Kelly Cong finished in the top 30 for the second year in a row, with a 7-over-79 on Saturday, combined with her 79 on Friday for a two-day total of 158. Senior Meadow Rolence finished seven strokes back of Cong.
Freshman Mina Shyam, sophomore Hannah Lee, senior Aubreye Hyatt and freshman Siya Sohal also scored for the Warriors.
The Warriors tied their best team finish in school history, matching their 2014 mark of 7th place.
