HUNTLEY – Waubonsie Valley girls golf is headed to the IHSA State Finals after finishing second at sectionals at Whisper Creek Golf Course in Huntley on Monday. The Warriors finished ahead of Benet and behind Neuqua Valley.
Senior Kelly Cong lead the way, finishing 13th with a 7-over-77. Senior Meadow Rlence finished 17th with a 9-over-79. Freshman Mina Shyam (11-over-81) and sophomore Hannah Lee (12-over-82) also finished in the top 25. Senior Aubreye Hyatt and freshman Siya Sohal also scored for the Warriors.
The Class 2A Finals are Friday and Saturday at Hickory Point Golf Course in Decatur.
