AURORA – Waubonsie Valley senior Lucas Conrads broke the school’s pool record in the 500-freestyle on Thursday night against DeKalb at the WV Aquatic Center.
Conrads already owns the school record in the 500-freestyle that he set at the IHSA State Finals last year with a time of 4:31.25. At Thursday’s meet, Conrads swam the 500-freestyle in 4:33.37. His time broke a 37-year-old pool record set by St. Charles High School’s Drew Rocca in 1984 at Waubonsie Valley High School.
The Warriors host Oswego East on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the WV Aquatic Center. Fans can watch the meet via streaming video at wvtvmedia.org.
