Waubonsie Hosts Neuqua to Open 2025 Football Campaign

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois High School Association released the official 2025 football schedules on Friday morning. Waubonsie Valley will host five home games as part of the Southwest Valley Conference’s red division. Besides Waubonsie, the division includes Bradley-Bourbonnais, DeKalb, Lincoln-Way Central, Stagg, Andrew, and Lincoln-Way West.

The biggest highlight of the Warriors’ 2025 campaign is the return of the War of 204 rivalry with Neuqua Valley. Waubonsie and Neuqua will open the season at Dick Kerner Stadium on Friday, August 29.

The Warriors will continue to put miles on the buses this season, as they travel to New Lenox (31 miles), Bourbonnais (56 miles), Winnetka (54 miles) and Tinley Park (43 miles).

After their home opener, Waubonsie will begin a three-game road trip against New Trier (September 5), Bradley-Bourbonnais (September 12), and Andrew (September 19). The Warriors return home for three straight against Lincoln-Way West (September 26), Normal West (October 3), and Stagg (October 10). They’ll face Lincoln-Way Central (October 17) on the road, then come home to close out the season against DeKalb (October 24).
