NAPERVILLE – It was the first time this year that Waubonsie Valley girls cross country had raced on a course other than on their own campus. It turns out that the Warriors weren’t that homesick though, as four runners finished in the top 10 at a triangular meet at Neuqua Valley on Friday afternoon.
Sophomore Anna Riggs finished third in 19:31.04. Junior Jenna Martin placed sixth in 20:00.53. Sophomore Carmen Solis ended up in eighth in 20:22.75, and senior Alex Vulich followed up in ninth in 20:28.48. Freshman Lindsey Matthews finished in 21st in 22:26.86.
The Warriors return home on Saturday for a triangular meet against Naperville Central and Metea Valley. Fans can watch the live video stream online beginning at 9:00 a.m. on YouTube and WVTV.
