NAPERVILLE – Waubonsie Valley baseball won a share of the DuPage Valley Conference regular season championship after a 5-4 win over Naperville Central on Thursday night.
Owen Roberts pitched a complete game, allowing one earned run and striking out seven.
Offensively, Roberts went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, a double and a home run. Ryan Lucas went 2-for-4. Connor Beren and Shane Torres each added a hit.
The win completed a 3-game sweep of the Redhawks. The Warriors will host a non-conference game against Yorkville on Saturday for a 10:00 a.m. first pitch.
