DOWNERS GROVE – Three girls track and field athletes have advanced to the IHSA State Finals after their performances at Sectionals on Wednesday afternoon.
In the 1600m, senior Lily Baibak finished 4th with a time of 5:07.40.
In the triple jump, freshman Emma Hummel finished 7th with a jump of 11.16 meters.
In the discus, senior Kennedi Johnson finished 3rd with a throw of 35.81 meters.
Other individual Top 10 finishes include junior Kyla Akins in the 100m hurdles with a time of :15.53, Ava Sheffler in the 300m hurdles with a time of :47.36, freshman Gwen Narney in the discus with a throw of 33.44 meters, and Hummel in the long jump with a jump of 5.11 meters.
