AURORA – Waubonsie Valley hosted the 2023 DuPage Valley Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday.
The boys’ team finished 5th with 123 points. Senior Zach Self finished 17th in 16:38.90. Senior Austin McInturff finished 21st in 16:49.40. Seniors Tyler Heap (16:59.60) and Zack Hayden (17:00.50) finished 24th and 25th, respectively.
The girls’ team finished 5th with 115 points. Freshman Mia Bertolini finished 4th with a 19:19.10. Sophomore Katherine Heap finished 18th with a 20:12.20.
Both cross country teams travel to Naperville North on October 21 for the IHSA Regionals.
