Baseball won its second straight as they defeated Plainfield Central, 7-5. Waubonsie came back from a 2-0 deficit with three runs in the sixth inning and four runs in the sevent inning. Sean Carroll went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run and three RBI. Owen Roberts went 2-for-3 with 1 BB. Ryan Morton allowed two earned runs over four innings and Roberts closed the final three innings, striking out four. The Warriors travel to Oswego East on Wednesday to face the Wolves for a 4:30 p.m. first pitch.
Hannah Laub and Grace Riggs had two hits apiece, as softball fell to Plainfield East, 12-8. Gia Cobert, Aislee Morgan, Maya Pereda and Sam Wiertelak each added a hit for Waubonsie.
Girls soccer defeated Hinsdale Central, 1-0. Emerson Hallihan scored the game’s lone goal with an assist from Taylor Ahmadian. Lauren Bornhoff earned the shutout in goal. The Warriors improved to 2-1 on the season and will host Plainfield Central on Friday for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.
