AURORA – Indian Prairie School District 204 will host a community meeting on Tuesday, April 16 for information on a funding proposal that will be on the November 2024 ballot.
The limiting rate referendum, called “Safer, Stronger 204,” is a funding proposal to address facility and operating needs.
In a letter to the community, the district says that its schools need safety and security upgrades, including roofing, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and other repairs and upgrades.
The district is also looking to add more mental health professionals and more teachers in order to help reduce class sizes.
The district will also host other community information meetings at different locations throughout the spring.
The meeting is at 7:00 p.m. in Waubonsie Valley High School’s Library Media Center. For more information on “Safer, Stronger 204,” visit www.ipsd.org.
