Girls soccer played to a 1-1 tie on Monday night at WV Soccer Field. Taylor Ahmadin scored the lone goal, her 8th of the season. The Warriors are now 7-2-1 on the season. They will face Downers Grove South on Thursday.
The Warriors travel to Metea Valley on Tuesday for a 4:30 p.m. start, weather pending.
Baseball won in walk-off fashion, defeating Metea Valley 7-6 in extra innings on Monday afternoon at WV Baseball Field. Sean Carroll lead off the 8th inning with a double, stole third base, then scored on a Metea throwing error. Carroll went 3-for-5 with two runs. Owen Roberts went 2-for-3 with one run, while Ryan Gustaitis, Josh Hung, Ben Ford, Hiroshy Wong, Shane Torress and Ryan Morton each added a hit.
Softball won its rivalry game over Neuqua Valley, 4-1, on Monday afternoon at WV Sotball Field. Sam Wiertelak went the distance, allowing only three hits on no earned runs with one strikeout. Aislee Morgan went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Gia Cobert went 2-for-3 with one run, while Wiertelak and Lily Elsea each added a hit. It was the Warriors’ third win in their last four games. They will travel to Naperville North to take on the Huskies on Tuesday afternoon, weather pending.
