AURORA – The Warriors were certainly not gracious hosts this Thanksgiving for its annual WarHawk Tournament. Waubonsie Valley girls basketball finished the week 4-0, winning three of those games on their home court, including an 83-70 win over Romeoville on Saturday.
The Spartans kept it close early as the Warriors lead 19-18 to end the first quarter. The Warriors eventually opened up their lead at halftime, then took control in the second half, scoring 33 points in the fourth quarter.
Taylor Curry finished with 31 points, 15 of which came in the fourth quarter. Hannah Laub scored 23 points. Devin Lynch added 11 points. Lauren Threat had eight points.
The Warriors travel to St. Charles East on Tuesday, then Naperville Central on Thursday for the start of the DuPage Valley Conference season.
