Baibak Finishes 12th at IHSA State

CHARLESTON – Senior Lily Baibak finished 12th at the IHSA State Finals on Saturday in the 1600 meters. It was the second consecutive year that she finished in the Top 12 in that event. Baibak raced in a time of 5:01.72, which was just two seconds shy of her own school record set in 2024. She became the 7th Warrior in the program’s history to finish in the Top 40 in the 1600m run at state finals.

In the field events, Kennedi Johnson finished 24th in the discus with a throw of 34.08 meters. She became the 6th Warrior in the program’s history to finish in the Top 40 in discus at the state finals.

Emma Hummel finished 23rd in the triple jump with a distance of 11.05 meters. She became the fourth Warrior in the program’s history to finish in the Top 40 in the triple jump at the state finals.
