ORLANDO, FL – Waubonsie Valley’s Business Professionals of America finished first in three categories at the BPA National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida last weekend. The business club tied a record for most first-place finishes in a year. It also set a record for most Top 3 and most Top 10 finishes nationally.
Thomas Mei (Basic Office Systems and Procedures), Jad Omari, Bhargavi Vaidya, Keshav Varma, Siyansh Virmani (Network Design Team), Aadil Barkat, Pradyun Fatwani, Amogh Shivanna, and Jeevith Veerasaravanan (Website Design Team) won first place.
Sanjith Yelavarthy won second place in Computer Modeling.
Ambika Kapoor (Intermediate Word Processing), Aarushi Ranjan (Advanced Office Systems and Procedures), Aarav Jhaveri, and Raina Gazder (Visual Design Team) won third place.
Ashritha Alla, Malishka Ambati, Harini Yedlapalli (Financial Analyst Team), Ishaan Aggarwal, Vikrant Avineni, Smayan Tayal (Economic Research Team), Riya Gupta (Personal Finance Management), Thomas Mei (Fundamental Word Processing), Amani Khan (Intermediate Word Processing), Mary Howard (Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications), Vyshnavi Reddy (Legal Office Procedures), Kushagra Verma (Computer Security), Ekansh Mohapatra (Meeting and Event Planning Concepts), and Sana Kalra (Health Research Presentation) all finished in the Top 10.
Business Professionals of America is a business-centered club where students learn and compete in topics including finance, management, accounting, marketing, coding, and more.
