AURORA – Shane Torres doubled to right field to score Owen Roberts for the game winner as Waubonsie Valley baseball defeated Naperville North 2-1 on Monday afternoon at WV Baseball Field.
Torres finished 1-for-4 with an RBI. Connor Beren went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Roberts and Seth Nielson each added a hit.
Seth Gilliland pitched five innings, allowing no runs on three hits and striking out four. Danny McGuigan picked up the win in relief, allowing no runs in two innings.
The Warriors have now won four in a row and travel to Naperville on Tuesday to continue their series with the Huskies for a 4:30 p.m. first pitch.
