AURORA – All tennis eyes will be on Waubonsie Valley’s courts Friday and Saturday as they host an IHSA Sectional.
The Warriors will have the top two seeds in the singles tournament. Top-seeded Hector Diaz will open against Plainfield South’s Nick Chance, and second-seeded Samayan Tayal will begin tournament play against East Aurora’s Edgar Junez.
In the doubles tournament, the Warriors also have the number one seed in Revanth Kothapalli and Ishaan Suresh Kumar. They will open against Oswego’s Henry Nelson and Reyhan Tanovic. The freshmen tandom of Krish Dave and Kavin Sivapunniyam await the winner of a East Aurora/Plainfield South matchup.
Other teams in the sectional include Oswego East, Oswego, Neuqua Valley, Yorkville, Plainfield North, and West Aurora. Results will be posted on ihsa.org.
