HINSDALE – Valley gymnastics finished second at the IHSA Regional at Hinsdale South High School on Tuesday to advance to sectionals.
In the vault, seniors Carli Finkley and Bridget Anderson tied for first with a 9.1. Sophomore Ella Buchenauer and junior Lucia Caruso finished fourth with a 9.0.
In the uneven parallel bars, Anderson finished second with an 8.9250. Finkley finished third with an 8.8750. Buchenauer finished fifth with an 8.6750.
In the balance beam, Finkley (8.950) and Anderson (8.625) finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
In the floor exercise, Caruso finished second with a 9.250. Anderson finished fourth with an 8.900.
In the all-around, Anderson (35.550) finished second, Buchenauer (34.425) finished fourth, and Caruso (34.250) finished fifth.
IHSA sectionals are at Hinsdale Central on Monday
