AURORA – Cooper Chapple pitched four innings and struck out ten as Waubonsie Valley baseball defeated Elk Grove 10-4 on Saturday morning at WV Baseball Field.
Gabe Lunardini picked up the win in relief, pitching over an inning, allowing no runs and one hit. Aidan Kornak also pitched one inning with one strikeout.
Offensively, Shane Torres ripped two doubles with two RBI. Hiroshy Wong went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Josh Hung went 2-for-3 with two runs. Aiden Kornak went 1-for-3 with two runs, and Cole Ruggeri 1-for-1.
The Warriors travel to Naperville to take on Neuqua Valley for a 4:30 p.m. first pitch.
