Waubonsie Sets Date, Time for Class of 2021 Graduation

AURORA – On Monday, Waubonsie Valley officials released the start time of the Class of 2021 commencement ceremony.

UPDATE: The ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 29, at 1:00 p.m. at Waubonsie Valley’s Dick Kerner Stadium.

“This has been a long 15 months for the Class of 2021. It will give me great pleasure to complete their educational experience here at Dick Kerner Stadium as one full class,” said Waubonsie Valley principal Jason Stipp.

The ceremony will be live-streamed and recorded by WVTV on YouTube and wvtvmedia.org.

It’s the first time that graduation has been held on campus since 2001. It’s the first time that graduation has been held outdoors since 1999. Waubonsie Valley held commencement ceremonies at College of DuPage from 2002 to 2011. In 2012, ceremonies were moved to Northern Illinois University’s Convocation Center in DeKalb.
