AURORA – Diego Rodriguez celebrated boys soccer senior night in the only way he knew how. The senior scored the game-winning goal with 7:14 remaining, as the Warriors defeated Neuqua Valley 1-0.
Junior Lucas Garcia passed it in to Rodriguez, and the ball bounced off of a Neuqua defender. Rodriguez was able to get the ball back, worked around a second Neuqua defender and deposited the ball into the far right of the net.
Sebastian Herrera picked up the shutout in goal, which included a leg save late in the first half. It was the fifth shutout of the season for the Warriors.
The Warriors have won three of their last four games and host Argo on Saturday for an noon kickoff at WV Soccer Field.
