Aurora Mayor Shares Video Message with Citizens

AURORA – Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin took to YouTube to share a message with the public on his status since contracting COVID-19.

Mayor Irvin said his symptoms included severe headaches and high temperatures. “I couldn’t think straight, I was disoriented, dizzy when I stood up. I lost my appetite, but that didn’t matter because I lost my sense of taste and smell. It was just a full body ache that is hard to describe.”

“But it passed.”

The Mayor turned 50 on March 29, and, as a birthday gift to him, he asked citizens to “follow the governor’s stay-at-home order.”

“Working together, I know we’re going to be able to beat this virus, if we follow these simple rules, simple directions,” said Mayor Irvin.

“Stay safe, my friends, and continue to stay Aurora Strong.”
