BLOOMINGTON, IL – The 2017 season will be the final year for football’s DuPage Valley Conference, as it now exists, and Waubonsie Valley football hopes to say goodbye to four conference foes with victories.
The Illinois High School Association officially released the 2017 football schedules. Waubonsie Valley will play nine games this year, five of which will be hosted at Dick Kerner Stadium in Aurora. The home schedule includes games against Lake Park, Glenbard North, Naperville Central, Wheaton-Warrenville South and a non-conference game against Lincoln-Way Central.
Waubonsie will travel four times for games at Neuqua Valley, Metea Valley, Naperville Central and Wheaton North.
After this year, Glenbard North, Lake Park, Wheaton North and Wheaton-Warrenville South are leaving the DuPage Valley Conference to either the Upstate Eight Conference or the new DuKane Conference.
The Warriors finished with a 6-5 record last season. All games are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. WVTV will broadcast all home games this season on YouTube and Facebook Live.
