AURORA – Indian Prairie School District 204 is keeping its options open for high school graduation ceremonies in 2021.
In an e-mail to parents on Monday, IPSD 204 Superintendent Dr. Adrian Talley said, ‘We are maintaining our reservation for the Northern Illinois University Convocation Center on Sunday, May 30 should public health guidance allow holding our ceremony in that location.”
“If the above ceremony location is not possible due to COVID-19 restrictions limiting indoor gatherings, we plan to celebrate with a ceremony at each school’s stadium the week of May 24, 2021. We may need to adapt the ceremony to fit the public health guidance that is current in the spring, but we are committed to providing a graduation ceremony for the Class of 2021.”
The district says more details will be provided as they become available.
Last May, high school graduations were held for the Class of 2020 as virtual ceremonies online for all three district high schools.
